Texico makes it 5 straight

It was an impressive and improbable run for Dulce, but the Lady Hawks fell short against Texico (18, 22, 12). The Lady Wolverines extended their dynasty earning their fifth straight state championship

Dulce didn’t possess the same magic they had against the number one seed, Mesilla Valley Christian and came out meek during the first set, but as the match progressed, Dulce’s defense came to life.

Unfortunately, Texico’s offensive prowess and confidence by way of regular appearances in the championship match was too much. Junior OH Riley Thompson lead the game with 12 kills, and Kaitlyn Roderick followed with 10 kills.

On the other side of the net, an impressive showing by southpaw junior hitter, Caitlin Duncan with 10 kills to lead the Hawks. Senior hitter Jaelyn Reval finished with 9 kills.

Dulce is a fairly young team, graduating only two seniors, so keep an eye out for Duncan and company next season.
