Rio Rancho vs Cleveland
Rio Rancho is looking to make up a loss to Cleveland last week, and they’ll have their work cut out for them.
From the looks of it, Cleveland matches up with Rio Rancho almost perfectly, with their two bigs Sarah Hattis and and Cassie House able to counter Rio Rancho’s Jayla Trombley and Mackenize Clark. I think the talents of Courtney Lawson and Marissa Calvillo are the difference makers here, giving the Storm a little more depth than the Rams. Don’t forget the awesome production of Cleveland’s Jordan Bruere, who had 30 assists in her last outing against Rio Rancho.
I don’t know the Ram’s stats against Cleveland, but Trombley and Clark with need some hot, heavy hands this time around.
St. Pius at Albuquerque Academy
Sweeping the Blazers in their last meeting on October 6th, St. Pius will be on the enemy’s turf tonight for the 6:30 start time, in an attempt to protect their No. 1 position in the polls.
Looking at the benches, St. Pius has a bit more depth with their plethora of weapons, including Sarah Weber, Lexi Biondi and Lauren Roveto.
The home court advantage will definitely help Academy, but I’ve been told the St. Pius fans will converge en masse at the gym to support their team.
Eastwood sweeps Franklin
This one went down pretty much as expected. Alexia Heist ruled the floor with her seven kills and 35 assists, and was able to get production from hitters Alysha Blanco and Madi Cera.
