Tulie wins district title

The Lady Wildcats won District 6-2A, beating Lordsburg Saturday night 25-23, 25-22, 25-20. As I understand it, Lordsburg played them pretty tough, leading 22-18 in first set.

Tulie now has the No. 2 seed in the state tournament, whilst Lordsburg earns the 12th seed.

  1. I think its neat that the newspapers all over the state are publishing nice stories about their volleyball teams.
On this page alone it mentions articles in Las Cruces, Alamogordo and El Paso.
Unfortunately here in Albuquerque all we have is the Albuquerque Journal which absolutely refuses to acknowledge that high school volleyball exists.
I think the Journal sports writers all must belong to the “He-Man Women Haters Club”. They care only about football.
We have some great teams here that don’t get any love at all from the Journal.
No news about District Championships, NMAA seeding for State, etc.
Rich, we really appreciate all you do to spread the word in the volleyball world. Without you, we in Albuquerque would have nothing.
