The Eastern New Mexico Zias were picked to finish in last place in the Lone Star Conference 2010 preseason poll. The rankings are voted by coaches, sports information directors and various media outlets.
Eastern has brought back long-time coach Mike Maguire to coach the Zias back to their winning ways. Maguire, hired in 1987, lead the Zias to a 33-6 (12-2) record in 1993 that included the regular season title as well as the tournament title.
The Lone Star Conference is a NCAA Division II conference.
