Bulldawgs put bite on Alamogordo

Sarah Hurd had seven kills on the night, followed by Lexi Dotson and Sarah Fountain; both had six. Dotson racked up four aces on the night.

Alamogordo’s Kylie Woods lead the way for the Lady Tigers with 11 kills.

Gadsden sweeps Oñate

The Lady Panters had no problems dealing with the Knights on Thursday night, sweeping district foe Oñate, 25-7, 25-11, 25-14.

Nathalie Castellanos lead all hitters with 19 kills, six digs, two blocks and four aces. Amber Miramontez had 10 kills, one ace,  nine digs and a  block.

Mesilla Valley mauled by Bears

The Lady SonBlazers dropped their match at Cloudcroft, 24-26, 25-19, 15-25, 26-28 on Thursday night. Not sure what to think about this one other than Cloudcroft has been steadily improving.

Cloudcroft improves to 6-8 overall and 1-1 in district play. Up next is Tularosa on Tuesday night.

MVCS has the opportunity to get things rolling in the right direction when they host Tularosa on Tuesday, October 19th.

  1. Mesilla Valley and Cloudcroft both have lots of talent. I think they are truly diamonds in the rough and on any given day they could surprise some people. That district is going to heat up soon.
